From its inception, Zagreb School of Economics and Management has developed its programs of study in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. Croatia’s National Board of Education has given ZSEM a positive rating and permission to carry out its work within the following programs:

• A four-year undergraduate study program in economics and management (240 ECTS points)

Accreditation

ZSEM is the first institution of higher education in Croatia to become a member of the AASCSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Also, the school is the first higher education institution in Croatia, which is included in a very demanding process of full accreditation of the AACSB. The AACSB was established in 1916 with the aim of accrediting teaching programs in schools and universities in the field of business education. It is an international non-profit association that brings together educational institutions, companies and other organizations whose task is to promote and improve higher education in the field of business administration and management.

According to Eduniversal research, Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) was the best business school in 2008 in Croatia.

The criteria for selection of the best business schools were - international accreditation, reputation in the country, international recognition, membership in international academic organizations, the scope and quality of international cooperation, and the citation in major publications and Web sites for specialized training.

Candidate Requirements

Entrance examinations can be taken by all candidates that have successfully completed their secondary school education and state baccalaureate, or an equivalent level of education in other countries.

Candidates are evaluated according to the following scheme:
1.    Secondary school grades, in all four years, 25%
2.    State baccalaureate, 21%
3.    Results in the English language test, 20%
4.    Results in the Mathematics test, 20%
5.    Interview with the candidate, 10%
6.    Essay, 4%

For interested candidates, ZSEM organizes preparatory courses in Mathematics and the English language.
